Seollee Park

I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Economic Sciences and the Paul G. Allen School for Global Health at Washington State University.

I am a development economist working on nutrition and health in low- and middle-income countries. I investigate what causes undernutrition or poor health, what works to improve these conditions, and the role of psychology and gender dynamics as both drivers and consequences. To answer these questions, I primarily use field and lab-in-the-field experiments, complemented by quasi-experimental methods. I have ongoing or previous research in Nigeria, Niger, Madagascar, Ethiopia, India, and the Philippines.

Before joining WSU, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. I received my PhD in Applied Economics from Cornell University.

My name is pronounced “Soul-lee.”
